Despite mother nature trying her hardest,
competition in all divisions is well underway! Kickball, under the direction of Shanna Mugno, had to be moved one week to accommodate all four teams on the turf field at Whelan. T-Ball under the watchful eye of Tim Dulude has worked around the soaked infields of Rosenberg Field. William Rumaldo and the Lower Farms are moving right along focussing on instruction and teaching the basics of hitting, throwing and teamwork. The Upper Farms and Scott Butler have created an extremely competitive 4 team league that will soon host an all star game. The minors coach Anthony Kenney has worked hard to rally his team against the visiting Central Nassau Rebels while Mike Adams and the Majors have had some tough one run losses after 3 weeks of ball. Former commissioner Walter Hetzel has offered to help out the pitchers from the minors teams with free coaching on selected days. Please reach out to your coach for details. Both the Majors, Minors and our Upper Farms teams have been invited to an intramural tournament next weekend where teams will compete with 21 other intramural teams from surrounding towns!
Anthony Kenney, Michael Clark, Scott Butler and Bill Mugno showed that Levittown North does it right. Together with Maryann Brown they worked together to organize a successful MLB Pitch Hit Run competition. 25 competitors from as far away as Hamptons Bays competed in a friendly skills competition. North winners included Michael Clark, Kevin Mercedes, Finn Brown, Devin Dwyer, Liam Capitano and Michael Kenney. They have been invited to represent North next weekend in a regional competition in Commack! GO NORTH!
FCS TOURNAMENT- ADULT CHARITY CO-ED SOFTBALL has started! Our opening game will be this Tuesday at 7:45pm up on McLaren Field (Loring Road) against the coaches and parents of Levittown Central! Head coaches Tim Dulude and William Rumaldo are moving full steam ahead in what promises to be a lot of laughs! Teams have already raised close to $1,000 to aid in the fight against prostate cancer. Want to come cheer on the “OLDSTARS” of North? Click this Link to see North’s Rosters (both Gray and Blue Teams) and their current four game schedule.

Purchase tickets through the DUCKS BOX OFFICE and ask to sit in section 212. Have your player wear their Levittown North uniform shirt and join us on the field before the game for the singing of the Star Spangled Banner.
8U TRAVEL TEAM! The Northstars 8u Travel team (coached by Billy Mugno) has had an extremely successful spring training season. They are currently 3 - 0 with solid victories over Syosset, Bethpage, and Garden City.
7U TRAVEL TEAM! William Rumaldo is testing the waters. There will be a big announcement coming shortly around the creation of a Northstars 7u team! Coach Rumaldo will be hosting a tryout and a parent information session. Look for the flyer for eligibility!
Why is Levittown North amazing? Its guys like Chris Purcell and Vinny Kearney. Chris Purcell, when an umpire cancelled at the last minute this past Monday, Chris stepped in and took the helm at an incredibly evenly matched hotly contested Upper Farms METS vs MARLINS game. Additionally, anyone who has spent anytime at Whelan Field has undoubtedly witnessed Vinny stepping up to lend a hand either coaching or behind the scenes. After our new shed was installed Vinny measured and cut a threshold to support where the mound cart hits the lip of the shed. He will never ask for recognition or credit but without dads like him, and countless others, this league does not happen.
